Eye Tests
The best eye care you’ve had starts here
Thorough and unhurried eye tests
Our patients say that they love our eye tests compared to those of the chain stores. We take the time to go through each test in an unhurried manner and always have time to discuss any concerns you may have about your eyes.
What to expect
Our eye tests usually last about 30–40mins. After the test is complete, our optician will explain the results and you’re encouraged to ask any questions you might have. Our optician will make recommendations that take into account factors such as your working environment, lifestyle and any leisure pursuits you have. We’ll probably recommend varifocals if you like making miniature castles out of rice while watching the TV.
Retinal imaging
Retinal 3D OCT scans help detect conditions such as glaucoma, diabetes, hypertension and age-related macular degeneration. Regular eye tests and retinal 3D OCT scans are important as they help spot the early stages of eye disease before the condition becomes untreatable. Retinal 3D OCT scans are available for both private and NHS patients and are charged for in addition to regular eye tests.

Regular eye tests are important
The NHS recommends that you get your eyes tested every two years (more often if advised by your ophthalmic practitioner or optometrist). Not only does this check that your glasses or contacts are the correct prescription but it’s vital in spotting the early stages of eye disease.
