Lens Types
High-quality lenses prescribed according to your needs
You’ll receive full lens advice during your visit, but in the meantime, here are the lens types you can expect to hear about.
Single vision lenses
One prescription which covers the entire lens. These types of lenses may be for driving, reading or working at a computer.
Bifocal lenses
Designed to accommodate two different prescriptions – usually distance and up-close vision.
Varifocal lenses
These lenses accommodate more than two different prescriptions so you’ll only need one pair of glasses for all your vision requirements!
Occupational lenses
Allow you to see both close up and a little bit further away which normal reading glasses can’t do.
Sunglass lenses
We use these to make your prescription sunglasses.
Polarised lenses
These are for sunglasses. They combat glare and reflections (road and water) as well as sunlight.
