Retinal Imaging
Keep one step ahead of hidden eye health problems
State-of-the-art retinal scans
Our digital OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) scanner takes high-resolution images of the retina which we use to detect the early stages of conditions such as glaucoma, diabetes, hypertension and age-related macular degeneration. If not detected early enough, these conditions can lead to the denigration of vision and even blindness.
Diagnosis within a treatable timeframe
We compare images from one visit to the next, which lets us spot subtle changes to your eye. Detecting these changes helps us diagnose eye disease before it’s too late to treat. And that’s reason enough for us to recommend including a retinal scan as part of your regular eye test.
Family history of eye disease?
If you have diabetes or a family history of eye disease then it’s even more important that you have regular OCT retinal scans.
Retinal scans are available for both private and NHS patients and are charged for in addition to regular eye tests.
